The yard
Herrin lawns and yards
Houses from around 1969 tend to sit on lots with grown trees.
Grown trees mean leaves, and leaves mean fall cleanups.
We rake and blow the leaves so the grass underneath gets light before winter.
Tell us if you want them hauled.
The soil is the same story as the rest of the area.
Slow-draining subsoil stays wet in spring and turns hard in summer.
Fall aeration helps. So does overseeding tall fescue after it.
Keep new seed moist for about two weeks. We also mow, fertilize and clear snow.
