Deer Food Plots in Marion, IL Ground worth sitting over.

Ground work, seed and timing for landowners and hunters across Southern Illinois.

A food plot is ground you work to feed deer.

Done right, it is a patch of green where there was brush or hard dirt.

Done wrong, it is a weedy square that nothing eats.

We work plots for landowners and hunters in Southern Illinois, out of Marion.

The logo is camo for a reason. A ready plot is worth the work.

Our August post said it plainly: It’s always a good day when we service this property.

The land and wildlife are amazing.

Real frames from our own phones and cameras, not stock. What shows up on yours is up to the deer.

Ground work first

A plot starts with dirt. We work the ground up so seed meets soil.

Our photos show a worked-up brown plot with tire tracks across it.

Tell us what the spot is now: a field corner, a clearing or an old logging road.

Sun, soil and slope decide what the plot can do.

Seed and timing

Seed goes in on a calendar built around your season.

Plant too early or too late and the effort is wasted.

Tell us when you hunt and what you want the plot to do.

We will not pick a mix over the phone.

Tell us how you want it handled and we plan it around the ground, the light and the weather.

Blinds, screens and access

A plot only works if you can reach the stand quietly.

Think about the wind, the path in and the path out.

Our photos show a box blind on a stand with a tall grass screen around it.

One trail camera picture shows a plot grown in green, dated 10/31/2026.

Another shows a buck on a snowy hillside.

We cannot promise what walks through, and nobody honest can.

How it goes

What happens when you call.

  1. Call or text

Tell us the town, the rough size and what you want from the plot.

  2. Look at the ground

We go over the spot, the sun and how you get in and out.

  3. Work it and seed it

The ground gets worked, then seed goes in with timing set around your season.

  4. Send a trail cam photo

Let us see how it came in. If something needs another look, say so.

When to call

Call in summer if you want green by fall.

Southern Illinois seasons run on their own clock, so ask early.
