House Washing in Marion, IL Looking new again.

The green and black on the shady side is algae, and it comes off the siding.

Vinyl siding does not fade to green.

That green and black on the shady side is algae, and it feeds on damp.

Most of what looks like age is dirt sitting on good siding.

We wash houses in Marion, Herrin and Carterville.

A cleaning mix goes on, the wall gets worked with care, and then it all gets rinsed off.

Siding, trim and brick steps come up in the same visit.

In May we posted a vinyl house with one line: Made this house look new again.

That is the usual reaction. The color under the grime is the color that went up on day one.

The shady side tells the story

North walls, the spot under a big tree and the corner by the downspout stay wet longest.

That is where the streaks start. The sunny walls mostly carry dust and pollen.

Algae likes damp, so tell us which walls bother you most.

We start there and plan the rest of the house around them.

Brick and vinyl house with a half-washed walkway

Windows, shutters and plants

A good house wash is more than siding.

Windows, shutters, screens and door frames get attention as we go.

Plants get covered or rinsed where they need it.

Hanging baskets, a new flower bed or a garden against the foundation?

Say so when you call. Point out what you care about and we work around it.

Brick, concrete and the rest

Brick steps, a stamped patio or a concrete walk usually sit right beside the siding.

A clean wall over dirty steps looks odd. We can do both in one trip.

Roof streaks and gutter muck are the other common add-ons.

Ask when you call and we will line it all up.

When to call

Spring is when the winter damp and green streaks show most.

House washing season ends when the cold sets in, so call before then.

My house was beyond ready for a wash! Dirt, algea, you name it. He made it look brand new and didn’t miss a spot. He even brought our old concrete walkway back to white after who knows how many years of dirt. If you are looking for someone detailed and honest, this is who you should call.
